Building a Bridge to Skilled Literacy Through Reading and Writing Connections

The B.E.S.T. ELA Standards have been written in such a way that the reading and writing benchmarks progress together. To help all students build strong literacy skills, instruction should intentionally highlight and reinforce this connection. In this presentation, participants will explore how reading and writing support each other and reflect on the systems they use to strengthen this connection in classrooms.
