About the Conference

Florida School ChoiceThe Florida Charter School Conference + School Choice Summit is an annual event presented by the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Independent Education and Parental Choice and the Florida Education Foundation. The conference has been in existence since the first Florida charter schools opened in 1996. Private schools were invited to join the event in 2023 and have added an important School Choice segment to the event. This multi-day event draws between 800-900 attendees and more than 350 exhibitor representatives.

The conference is designed to provide Florida School Choice stakeholders with the opportunity to network with each other and DOE staff, share best practices and gather information from key DOE personnel during one-hour breakout sessions, and meet with exhibitors who offer goods and services designed for the School Choice community.
