Presentation Details
A Balancing Act: Experience Florida Mathematics in ActionBalanced instruction ensures every learner has access to mathematics through intentional use of strategies and resources. In this interactive presentation, participants will practice multiple instructional approaches and walk away with ready-to-use, hands-on activities that spark mathematical thinking and support classroom success. We will connect these approaches directly to Florida’s Formula for Success, which highlights the five characteristics of high-quality instruction, emphasizes the use of assessments to inform planning and practice, and incorporates tiered instruction to support all students. This presentation emphasizes balance in instructional delivery, showing how teachers can blend approaches to achieve both depth and clarity in mathematics.
