Third Grade Success: Florida Policy and Best Practices for Literacy Achievement

During this presentation, participants will gain a deeper understanding of Florida’s Third Grade Progression Policy and its implications for early literacy instruction. Participants will explore the Practice Guide, Improving Reading Comprehension in Kindergarten Through 3rd Grade, and learn how to apply evidence-based strategies to strengthen foundational reading skills. Educators will engage in collaborative planning using both the Practice Guide and the B.E.S.T. ELA Standards to design effective Tier 1 instruction that supports all learners in building strong reading comprehension from the start.
